We are finally at Gotcha Day! Yesterday was full of ups and downs...more downs than ups for me. The smog and ciggy smoke is making me feel icky most of the time....and just when I start feeling better....we walk into a cloud of smoke. Ugh. I told John that I'll probably need to go on the patch when we get back b/c I'll be going through withdrawals. I'm already wheezing today and we haven't left our room yet! Glad that I have my inhaler...
Eme should be brought to us at our hotel in about four hours. So, this is the last post while I still have my sanity! :) Against my better judgement I went ahead and put on mascara...so I'm sure I'll be looking like a raccoon before the day is over.
I know John mentioned on his blog a little about the other families. But, I wanted to say just a bit about them, too. Your prayers for us have been answered big time! We met up with the third couple, Joe and Shohong who is from Columbus and also adopting a daughter with cl/cp. The other amazing thing about them is that Shohong is FROM Nanyang where our daughter is! Talk about a blessing! You have no idea how comforting it is to have someone be able to get you a fork when it is three hours past lunchtime and you are starving! We met the fourth couple, Ross and Ann, and they are also adopting a little girl with cl/cp AND they have already BTDT (been there done that) with their daughter Lizzie who they adopted two years ago.
The other three families will be getting their girls at the registration office this morning. We will be tagging along so we can take pictures/video for them of their Gotcha time. I am so excited and blessed to get to see Valerie and Shouhong become first time mommas! God is so good!
Next time I post (or John posts for me) we'll make sure to put some pictures. You can always go to his blog spazbro and link to the other pictures there as well.
So, after about 52 months of waiting for our daughter....only 4 more hours to go!
